De Tempelwandelingen in Chiang Mai lopen door de oude binnenstad van Chiang Mai in Thailand.

Karakter

In de oude binnenstad van Chiang Mai bevinden zich 38 Boeddhistische tempels. Het gaat hier om een aantal wandelingen waarmee alle tempels van het gebied worden bezocht. Enkele routes hebben een beperkte overlapping met elkaar, tempels die aan de west naar oost-route liggen, kunnen ook op een noord naar zuid-route liggen; deze overlappingen worden als zodanig gemarkeerd. In het totaal gaat het om de volgende tempels:

  •    Wat Pa Phrao Nai (วัดป่าพร้าวใน).
  •    Wat Dap Phai (วัดดับภัย).
  •    Wat Ratcha Monthian (วัดราชมณเฑียร).
  •    Wat Khuan Khama (วัดควรค่าม้า).

Buiten de oude stad (vrijwel) aan de gracht

Tijdens de wandeling in de oude stad kom je wel eens bij de stadsgracht op een punt waar aan de overzijde van de gracht ook een bezienswaardige tempel is.

Aan de noordelijke gracht

  •    Wat Lok Mo Li (Wat Lok Mo Lee).
  •    Wat Chiang Yeun.
  •    Wat Pa Pao.

Aan de noord-oostelijke hoek

  •    Wat Chai Sri Phoom.

Aan de zuid-oostelijke hoek

  •    Wat Puak Chang.

Aan de westelijke gracht

  •    Wat Pot Suan.

Aan Tha Phae Road

De tempels staan in de volgorde van de oostelijke stadspoort (Tha Phae Gate) naar de Ping-rivier.
